Primary FAMILY Spotlight {FREE PRINTABLE}

For our Primary Spotlight this year we wanted to focus on the family as the theme for the year is Families are Forever.  So we decided to make a spotlight page that each child could bring home to be filled out about their family.  They can fill them out together with their family and either attach a photo of their family or draw one in the space provided.  We plan to pass them all out at the beginning of the year, and try to collect them back so we can keep track of who we have and have not spotlighted.  Then during the year, instead of spotlighting individual children, we will be spotlighting their families.  Their entire family will be invited to come to primary that day to participate in our spotlight.  If they have family members in both Junior and Senior primary, we will be inviting them to both.  Then these spotlight forms will be hung on our bulletin board for the month.  I am really excited about this idea and I think it'll be super fun.  With the theme being about families this year we want to let all the children be proud of their families regardless of their family dynamic.  Some families are not the generic "ideal" with a mom, dad, brothers and sisters all in the same home.  We want all the children to know that no matter what their family make-up may be, their family is still important and wonderful!

After receiving some requests for a British/Canadian version, I have also uploaded that also: (the only difference between the above American version and the below Canadian version is the spelling of the word FAVORITE / FAVOURITE.)

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT IF YOU DOWNLOAD!!
I want some feedback and would love to know what you think!!

We got our awesome idea from Primarily a Mama,  but wanted to add our own topics, etc.

I changed a lot of the colors, etc. on the graphics I used, but here is a list of all the amazing original designers!  They're incredible!!  They're definitely some of my favorite designers!

  4. Favorite family spotlight poster I have seen this year!!! I downloaded your poster and then changed it up a bit to make it a black and white version (so it would be cheaper to print) and then resized it for 12X18. Turned out great!! Thank you so much for your hard work and cute ideas!

  11. We took the layout and made it into a flag shape (triangle). We have a small primary so we are spotlighting each child and then hanging their flag on the wall to make a banner. I love the family questions though to focus on his year's theme. We also added favorite article of faith and favorite scripture hero.

    1. Chelsea, thank you for your comment. I am glad you enjoy the spotlight! I actually chose the color palette because of how much I liked the presidency binders made by Courtney over at All Things Bright and Beautiful. Check out her presidency binder covers here: http://courtneyaitken.blogspot.com/2013/09/many-of-you-have-reached-out-to-me-to.html!

    1. I am just seeing this comment now, and it's been 6 months. I assume you no longer want/need a relief society one? But if you do, I'd be happy to make one for you. Just let me know!
